Ash started of as a promising striker playing for Rotherham United Juniors, unfortunately he failed in a trail due to injury. From there he played 3 friendlies for Worksop Town before joining the Royal Air Force.
Ash continually played at RAF station level then got selected to play for the RAF U21-s.
Whilst based nr Woverhampton Ash played Saturdays for Albrighton Town before moving to Oxford, where he started playing for Carterton Town whilst continuing for the RAF U21-s, then the RAF U25-s.
However constant operational deployments whilst based nr Oxford meant that he didn-t have chance to play regulary for approx 3 years. However upon return to regular play he suffered a severe broken ankle which pretty much put a stop to his outfield play.
Once recovered from the Injury Ash took up playing in goal approx 4 years ago for Kiveton Athletic then Harthill.
Ash has recently come out of Sunday retirement and has signed for Horse and Jockey F.C, a newly formed team in the Lincs Sunday league.
Ash is also a professional alcoholic... also has been known to get a little bit upset with the Defence on occasions! ;-)
