One of the few Original members of the Inter Blades, played and scored in the very first match against Crewe in Sheffield. Played most of my career as a left sided winger until age caught up with me and I played a number of seasons all the way across the defence. Appearances restricted to cameo roles these days due to a long standing knee problem from a bad injury about 4 years ago. Started managing the Inter Blades about 5 years ago and have steered them to two trophies in that period, the "Comfort Day Trophy" in Grimsby 3 seasons back and then the Worldnet Bowl in 2007. Very proud have managed a wonderful team with a top set of lads.
Due to family commitments, Danny has took a step back from managing the team and has taken the position of Director of Football. Danny will still be arranging matches, liasing with other teams and the IFA committee and will oversee the overall running of the Inter Blades.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
