BIOGRAPHY
Ash started of as a promising striker playing for Rotherham United Juniors, unfortunately he failed in a trail due to injury. From there he played 3 friendlies for Worksop Town before joining the Royal Air Force.
Ash continually played at RAF station level then got selected to play for the RAF U21's.
Whilst based nr Woverhampton Ash played Saturdays for Albrighton Town before moving to Oxford, where he started playing for Carterton Town whilst continuing for the RAF U21's, then the RAF U25's.

However constant operational deployments whilst based nr Oxford meant that he didn't have chance to play regulary for approx 3 years. However upon return to regular play he suffered a severe broken ankle which pretty much put a stop to his outfield play.
Once recovered from the Injury Ash took up playing in goal approx 4 years ago for Kiveton Athletic then Harthill.

Ash has recently come out of Sunday retirement and has signed for Horse and Jockey F.C, a newly formed team in the Lincs Sunday league.

Ash is also a professional alcoholic... also has been known to get a little bit upset with the Defence on occasions! ;-)

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
